Nassau County police arrested a 20-year-old Freeport man following a shooting at a fast-food restaurant in Hempstead on Saturday night. A Rockville Centre man has been charged with stealing $429,000 from a now bankrupt Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee where he had worked as chief financial officer. Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice has charged Christopher Cortese, 54, with second degree grand larceny for the alleged theft. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
